The McGuire DNA Project is intended primarily for McGuires who have known or suspected McGuire ancestors who lived in Colonial America prior the year 1790. All McGuires are welcome to join, but those with colonial roots are more likely to find common ancestors among our core participants. The goal is to identify as many distinct branches of the Colonial USA McGuire Tree as possible. Individuals with rare McGuire spelling variations, or with Protestant McGuire ancestors, are encouraged to join, as these are common indications of colonial roots.
