The goal of the Mid Argyll Group DNA Project is to research a paternal kindred group indigenous to mid Argyll, Scotland.  This kinship group includes surnames of several historical families in mid Argyll.  The primary sources strongly suggest this family is the MacLachlainn of Dunadd clan native to Kilmichael Glassary parish. The ultimate goal is to identity this paternal kinship group and to confirm or disprove the MacLachlainn of Dunadd origin theory.
