The primary goals of the Milley Males Y-DNA Project are to better understand the origins of the Milley surname as well as to assist family members with furthering their family histories.

We reach toward these goals by supplementing traditional family history research with high calibre DNA tests, particularly those that focus on the Y-chromosomes of male Milley. By determining the genetic signature of each Milley family's Y-chromosome, it is possible to tell which Milley families are related and which are not. In turn, this can enable us to rebuild family trees and determine the origin of each Milley family.

We invite all Milley families to participate, no matter where they are from. Additionally, we welcome all variants of the Milley surname, such as Millie, Melly, Millea and others.
