Welcome to the Mitchelmore DNA Project.
The surnames in this DNA Project are being researched as part of the M*CH*MORE One Name Study. You can learn more about this research, and the the associated family trees, by visiting http://www.mitchelmore.info.
You must be male to take this test, and you should have one of the surnames shown. But if you believe there is a Mitchelmore or variant in your direct male line, although you have a different surname, you are also welcome to participate. If you are female, you will need to find a direct line male in your family tree to participate and represent your tree.
We encourage participants to order a 37 marker Y-DNA test. If you order fewer markers, you can upgrade later but this costs a little more. To order your test kit, click on JOIN REQUEST above.
We have also established a General Fund to accept donations in any currency. These funds are held by the testing company, and used to subsidise the cost of test kits for participants who would otherwise be unable to afford the full cost. To make a donation, just click on the link below. You may make your donation anonymously if you wish.
