About us
GOALS:
--To distinguish the different lines of PIPKIN (including all spelling variations) families. Not all males carrying the surname of Pipkin descend from just one man named Pipkin. There were likely many unrelated men who adopted the Pipkin surname at the time when surnames began to be used.
--To assist genealogists in coordinating genetic research with traditional documentary research. This means that using DNA testing, we should be able to confirm (or raise questions) regarding standard genealogical research already performed (e.g., probate, census, land, church records, etc.). DNA testing may also help to break down those "brick walls" that genealogists sometimes come up against.
