This project is for those  whose surname is PRESTIDGE, PRESTEDGE, PRESTAGE, PRESTWICH,,etc. The name originated as PRESTWICH in the 1100's in the village of Prestwich, near Manchester, Lanc, England  Later families went to Brailes.  Brailes is a civil parish about 3 miles (5 km) east of Shipston-on-Stour in Warwickshire, England.  It includes the two villages of Lower and Upper Brailes but is often referred to as one village as the two adjoin each other. 

Richard of Brailes was born there in the 1400s and other branches  moved on to Moreton Pinkney.   Moreton Pinkney is a village and civil parish in South Northamptonshire, about 7.5 miles (12 km) north of Brackley. abt the 1700s. 

The Jesse Prestidge branch went to Canterbury, New Zealand in 1863.
