We started with five members in June 2003 and added four more members by the end of that first year. Seven Purdy members were added in 2004, four in 2005, nine in 2006, three in 2007, one in 2008 and two so far in 2008.

Several of our members are very knowledgeable about their own and other Purdy family lines. Several have authored their own family lineage. One of our members is very involved, and following his analysis of the results, he offers his opinion about how to proceed. He often has a reasonable idea of where strays belong in the tree, and the DNA sometimes places them firmly and sometimes just narrows the search or brings up questions that could not be expressed previously. He helps us narrow the field of possible places to look, what to look for, and in what time frame to look! He is awesome!
