The Quigley (and variants) surname project is primarily focused on Y-DNA Results with the goal being to use similar results to define family lines.The Y-DNA results pages are currently organized by STR marker comparisons only. We will be looking at the Y-DNA matches of the men tested and attempt to group all those together who look to be related within a genealogical time frame. Quigley descendants who have taken the Family Finder test are welcome to join the project.  If you visit your Family Finder >Advanced Matches page, you can identify Family Finder matches within the project. As mtDNA test results have no bearing on surnames, we do little with the results other than post them. You'll be asked to provide information on your Quigley line when you submit a Join Request. Information on your most distant known Quigley ancestor is what's most important.
