YP417 is a subclade of Haplogroup R1a (<M458<L1029). As of now, YP417 has been distributed to Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, the Balkan countries, Finland, Estonia, Sweden, Lithuania, Germany, Czechs. Slovakia, Italy, Romania etc. This Project aims to investigate the phylogeny, the genogeography, the possible origin, ways of migration and further downstream branches of YP417.
