Welcome! This project is open to anyone who has tested positive for Y-DNA SNP mutation DF63, or who has a close STR match to someone who has tested positive.

It is also open to anyone who has tested positive for any SNP below DF63. Indeed, one of the main purposes of this project is collect data to help explore the DF63 subclade, which is currently believed to be about two or three thousand years old, and to find SNPs defining subclades under DF63.

All members of the R1b-DF63 project are kindly requested to join the R-L21Plus project as well, as L21 is the direct parent of DF63:
