More detailed project results are grouped by common ancestors with a description of each test participant's lineage. Currently we have established seven groups. Group 1 shows participants who descend from early Virginia lines who match DNA. Group 2 shows participants who descend from Benjamin Johnson Rainey of SC. Group 3 shows particpants who descend from early NC lines that include David D. Rainey and William Rainey. Group 4 shows participants who currently do not have any matches. Group 5 shows participants who descend from Samuel Raney of VA and John Logan Raney of KY who match DNA but have not identified a common ancestor. Group 6 shows participants who descend from the RINEY lineages from St. Mary's Co. MD who migrated to Washington Co. KY and then to Daviess and Martin Co. IN. Group 7 shows participants who descend from Wilson REINEY / RAINEY b Ireland and immigrated to US in SC and then migrated to Gibson Co. TN.
