Rains from any origin, any spelling are welcome to our study. We have volunteers whose lineages are from the US, England, Ireland, and even India. We would love to include those of other countries where the surname is found. So far we have discovered that the United States group has seven distinct lines. Connections to other nations include Western European, Semetic, and Nordic. Our goal is discover the number of distinct lineages in the world and where they originate.
