This includes the National Genographic participants, or those who tested with other companies and wish to transfer their results to FTDNA. Note: In addition to the confines of Romania, all surnames with Y-DNA/mtDNA Romanian heritage are welcome, irrespective of the location for the most distant known ancestor. We are also accepting those who have an ancestral connection with Romanian lands, in spite of border changes during the years. As such, we welcome not only those from Romania, but also from Moldova, Ukraine, Hungary, Serbia (Serbian Banat and Timok), Bulgaria, Israel and diaspora in general, who have Romanian ancestry (via name, family history or spoken language).
