The ROWELL Surname DNA Project is open to all who are interested in working together to find their common ROWELL heritage through sharing of information and DNA testing. All variant spellings of the ROWELL surname are welcome. If your Surname is missing and should be included, we'll be glad to add it.

The main focus of the Rowell Surname Project was and is to determine if there are multiple Rowell Progenitors in the Wiregrass Georgia Region (there is) and to permit the southern Georgia Rowells to determine which Rowell Progenitor is their progenitor and to confirm their genealogy. Obviously, this Rowell Project also permits other Rowell men from around the World to determine their relationships with each other and/or the Wiregrass Georgia Rowells. So far, two Wiregrass Georgia Rowell Progenitors have been confirmed (see SubGrouping.
