About us
We have seen quite a few matches. There are some twenty-seven match groups.
Keep in mind that for Haplogroup R1b (and to a lesser extent for R1a) a 12-marker match alone is almost meaningless - a 25 or 37 marker match is much stronger. If a person with only a 12-marker test matches with an existing group, then we tentatively assign the person to that group. But we don't create new groups based only on a 12-marker match for R1b's.
For other Haplogroups, a 12-marker match can be meaningful, and we do make new matching groups on that basis. But upgrading to 25 or 37 marker tests would confirm (or disconfirm) the match.
