The purposes of the SHOCKEY - SCHACKE DNA project: * Determine the relationship of the various similiar surnames that are variations of the SHOCKEY, SCHACKE, JAGGI (Q-BZ224) and other similar sounding names. * Determine the ancient relationship between the JAGGI (Q-BZ224) and BAYSINGER (Q-BZ4) branches of the Q-BZ6 haplogroup. * Provide information to determine more accurately our ancestral origins. * Assist in identifying descendants of Johann Christoffel SCHACKE, aka John Christopher SHOCKEY. * Prove or disprove certain theories regarding some descendant lines that have been questioned. * Determine if some with variant spellings such as SHAWKEY. SHOCKLEY and SCHOCKEY are actually descendants of Johann Christoffel SCHACKE, aka, John Christopher SHOCKEY. * Prove or disprove the theory that some persons with the SHOCKEY surname are descendants of the supposed SHOCKEY Indian tribe.
