New matches have occurred for the 4 brothers, Group 1, as well as for Groups 4 and 16.

Analysis of results from descendants of William Spencer (~1656-1731) and Margaret Bates (1664-1736) of the 4 brothers - Grp 1 indicate that a mutation in marker DYS464 from the value of 15-15-16-17 to 15-15-16-16 occurred either with William or with his son William (1699 ->1754) who married Lydia Scovill. The 15-15-16-16 variant appears for descendants of brothers Matthias and Jeremiah, sons of William and Lydia (Scovill) Spencer.
