This is a Surname Project.  Therefore Y DNA testing is our main goal and the only type of testing that is "supported".  In other words, the co-administrators are happy to help interpret your Y DNA results.  However, we are not supporting either Family Finder (autosomal) DNA results nor mtDNA (mitochondrial) DNA results.

     Stark, or alternate spellings such as Starke, Starks, Starkes, is a relatively common last name.  It appears there were families with this last name in England, Scotland, Germany, and Sweden very early.  Our goal is to help people identify others who match their Y markers closely.  This may in turn, help provide clues for further genealogical research.
