Results indicate that there is no relationship between the families of Randal Stivers, Robert Stivers of Eastchester, and William Stivers of New York and Virginia:

• Two of Randal's descendants have been tested; they have the R1b1 haplogroup and are a close match at the 37 marker level.
• One descendant of Robert Stivers of Eastchester was found to have the I1c haplogroup. Another Stivers participant who did not know his background was found to have the same haplogroup and be a close match at the 67 marker level.
• A probable descendant of William Stivers of New York and Virginia was tested outside of this project; his results can be found on Ysearch.org and show that he too shares the R1b haplogroup but the genetic distance between Randal's descendants and him is great.
