Which branch of THURLOWs do you belong to? Are all THURLOWs related? Who were the first THURLOWs? The THURLOW DNA Project picks up where the paper trail leaves off in answering these ultimate genealogy questions. Specifically, the goals of the project are to prove or dispove relationships and establish the geographic origins of the various family branches. From the THURLOW One Name Study known geographic branches include:
- the East Anglian THURLOWs of Suffolk, Norfolk and Cambridgeshire, England
- the THURLOW/THURLEYs of Cambridgeshire, England
- the THURLOW/THORLEYs of the East Riding Yorkshire, England
