Main goals of the project:

• Identify members with similar genetic signatures and cluster them into families or genetic lineages
• Discover which families/family trees are related through a common paternal ancestor
• Discover the most likely origin of a genetic family
• Confirm presumed migrations or reveal so far unknown migrations in the genealogical timeframe
• Genetically confirm genealogical paper trail evidence
• Validate members' genealogical paper trail research
• Provide members with clues to further their family history research
• Confirm surname variants, find previously unknown variants and study surname evolution for each genetic family
• Publish project results as progress is made
