The goal of the Weems DNA project is to connect researchers band provide a central location to compare genetic linkages that support or disprove the family lineages. We will do this primarily through the use ofY-DNA comparisons and sharing of the paper trails of the group members.

Our project is open to anyone who have or are willing to contribute Y-DNA results to the group. Y-DNA is only available from male descendants. However, females can have their fathers, brothers or other male ancestors contribute samples for Y-DNA analysis.

Participants are welcome from anywhere in the world.

As the group grows we will be able to refine and analyze the results.
