The aim of this project is to gather father-son and brother-brother haplotype comparisons in order to help in the estimation of father to son Y-STR mutation rates for FTDNA markers. All haplogroups are welcome to participate. Depending on how things develop, 1st cousins may be added at a later stage.
Analysis will be done in an auxiliary website yet to be set up.
In order for us to do comparisons, all males members of the same family must share the same Haplogroup and the STR results, i.e. "DYS values" must be available. SNPs from the Big Y are the "icing on the cake".
