About us
In April 2006, the first result confirming Amerindian origin for an Acadian line was received. The first wife of Philippe MIUS d'Azy was thus confirmed as having Acadian métis offspring.
By February 2007 there were 17 submitters to the Project.
In November 2007 some submitters were dropped, as not having results consistent with the goals of the project. Usually, although they had much Acadian or métis ancestry, the particular ONE line tested did not seem to run back to a mother in early Acadia. If these lines can be proven to do so, we would hope to have them rejoin us. We are grateful for all who have participated.
