The goal of the Bonham DNA Project is to determine a link to a common ancestor, specifically Nicholas Bonham. Nicholas' son Hezekiah, who is said to have had 14 children, is thought to be the only son of Nicholas to carry on the Bonham line. Most of Hezekiah's sons are identified as such in early written histories but are unproven. Thus, DNA testing will help in proving and/or disproving the sons and descendants of Hezekiah and his father Nicholas. We also hope to determine whether George Bonham is the brother or father of Nicholas. Perhaps we can either prove a link or disprove one.
