About us
Some goals of the British Quaker DNA Project are:
- To determine if the haplogroups of Quakers of Great Britain are in the same proportion as that of Great Britain as a whole. For example, is the Y-DNA haplogroup R1b12 the most common haplogroup for British Quakers?
- To collect Quaker haplogroup data in one central publicly viewable repository for the educational enrichment of all genealogists with Quaker ancestors.
- To aid genealogists in the task of identifying ancestral origins and distribution of descendents.
