About us
The descendants of the chiefly line have all been shown to be positive for the L1335 and L1065 SNPs. The old tale of descent from an O'Kyan of Ulster has been shown to be an origin myth as the closest common ancestor with the Ulster O'kyan family is approximately 4,500 years before present!
A very close relationship has been shown with the MacAuslands however, dating back to approximately the 1300s, indicating that this was the original gaelic patronymic as per the clan's historic account
More results are due in soon which will further clarify the identity of some of the cadet branches
