About us
Goals of The Chapman DNA Project
* Encourage persons who are interested Chapman line genealogy to have at least one Chapman male of the line of interest to have their Y-DNA tested. The minimum test recommended is Y-37 with the Y-67 testing preferred for greater insight into how “matched” persons may be related. Since only males have a Y Chromosome, females interested in the benefits of Y-DNA should recruit males in the line of interest to have their DNA tested.
* Encourage dialog between or among matching persons to establish a unified understanding of their potential family tree.
* Provide a first level of support for Chapman DNA Project participants in understanding the various test options and test results.
* Support the Chapman Project “Activity Feed” forum to promote communication among project members and to address queries posted in the forum.
* Provide high level project statistics.
