About us
The Codd's involved in this project so far have a fairly rare YDNA type E3B1 which should make it fairly easy to distinguish our Codd lines from other Coad and Cody lines. We are in close contact with the other Coad Cody projects so results can be transferred if they match another line.
This project has already brought together Codd descendants who were unaware of each other and we are sharing information and research. We have three Codd branches who have tested so far and the results reveal close matches with all three. There is a fourth test result to come soon from another branch, all four are from the Co.Wexford, Ir clans so far.
All of the Irish CODDs in the New World changed their surname to CODE then sometimes to COAD, apparently to forget the Troubles.
