Identify the agnatic relationship amongst the different branches (أجباب) of the "Daou" family in the Levant (i.e. test which of these branches are descendants from a common male ancestor via direct patrilineal line). The project aspires to take representative samples from all branches within each of the religious communities with the surname of "Daou".

Validate traditional genealogical information & oral traditions concerning other family surnames; & test the hypothesis of these families being agnatic cousins to any of the branches of the "Daou" family.

Identify new relationships with other families via genetic analysis of the Y-DNA matches of project members.
