About us
- We have established that the MA and PA Duttons probably do not have a common DNA ancestor.
- We have established that there is a relationship of at least two different "branches of Zachariah Dutton descendents. Thus we believe we have Zachariah's DNA.
- We have found three different DNA lineages claiming to descend from PA John and Mary (Darlington) Dutton. Should those claim be true, then we may have found PA John Dutton's DNA. But current differences between the three groups need to be resolved. Upgrading to Y-67 or Y-111 would be most helpful.
- We have been successful in helping a member find her family when the genealogy trail suggested a connection, but there was a break in the paper trail.
- Two Maryland Duttons have a potential match or one step difference with another Dutton from England.
- We have confirmed that a Dutton line from Charles County, Maryland, has a genetic connection to the Warbuton family. This helps re-enforce the belief that modern day Duttons do have a connection to Odard de Dun Tun. But a lot more research is still required.
- We are currently waiting on test results from our third Dutton member who was born in Great Britain.
