The project will collect DNA test results that may provide clues to link families and tear down some brick walls encountered in family trees built using more traditional genealogical methods. The main goal of the project is to assist genealogical researchers looking for ancestors who came to the USA from Europe via the Bahamas or other islands in the Caribbean. This goal will be achieved through the recruitment of participants who have a family history in Florida, including those who may not be able to join the Bahamas DNA Project or other similar projects.
