About us
Summer 2010
The project is growing-two new participants. Results posted for Kit#182788 and results pending (8/25/10) for Kit#187159- release needed.
Possible interest in participating in the project by a GREESON descendant.
We welcome all prospects- especially those who have extensively traced their genealogy the traditional way. It would help to compare and contrast their results with the other members of the Project.
Spring 2009
As always, we are looking for more participants in our Project. We need more samples to compare-we've uncovered just the tip of the iceberg!
January 2008
Full 67 markers are posted for kit#105023. We have a 67 marker match with no mutations!
The match is between a descendant of Julius Cicero Gregson of North Carolina and George Gregson of Arkansas. Their respective ages rule out a father-son relationship, so we are led to conclude that they were brothers.
We can also rule out that they were descended from the William Gregson and Nancy Baker line of North Carolina. They were definitely related closely, but not in direct descent.
It is possible that they are descended from the Amos Gregson and Sarah Martin line, but that has yet to be proven.
We have also found that William Gregston (1822 NC>KY) while closely related to both the Amos Gregson and William Gregson lines, is not a direct descendant of either. Expanding the testing pool should clarify the line of descent over time.
We are working toward growing our project and highly encourage upgraded tests for our current project members.
Kit #108390 still pending.
