Family 001 E1a1

Family 1 has done quite a bit of research, and we are quite specifically E1a1.  This means that we are a part of a group that moved out of Africa sometime around 2,000 years ago, and maybe earlier than that.  In all likelihood, we exited by way of some of the Jewish trade caravans that moved back and forth between the Middle East and Africa, and are part of an Ashkenazi Jewish group that can be found under the E1a1 heading on this website:  http://www.familytreedna.com/public/HaplogroupE1andE/default.aspx?section=yresults
 
E1a1 is not African-American .  Also, those of us who are North American E1a1 individuals did not migrate from Africa, but from Europe.  This is true for every one of those of us listed on the E1a website under the heading of E1a1, with one possible exception.  The Halls of Family 1, for example, are like the majority and have documentation of emigrating from Wales, although my particular line claims to be Scotch-Irish.  All known E1a1 individuals who have been tested by Family Tree DNA are known to be white.
 
The point I'm making is that Family 1 is unique.  African in origin, yes!  But not in Africa for a very long time!
