This project is open to any male with a direct ancestral Harvey heritage. The objective of the HARVEY Y-DNA surname project is to assist in the delineation and differentiation of the several Harvey immigrant ancestral lines to be found in early colonial times as well as to define the ancestry/descendancy of later Harvey arrivals. A secondary but very exciting objective is to bridge the gap between the acknowledged North American lines and their relatives in the ancestral country of origin, ie: England, Scotland, Ireland and France. Y-DNA appears to be of unique assistance in being able to link those who sailed away with those who remained.
