All members, however, must be of the haplogroup I2b1 (shorthand I-M223). Surnames sometimes change depending adoption of a male child, false paternity or surname adoption. Those of the typical European haplogroup R1b are unrelated to the Lampert’s of this study group and joining would not be productive to their genetic genealogy research.
