The Project has determined that there is a strong genetic link between a RAINS line from Northamptonshire and a RAINE line that originated in Romaldkirk, Yorkshire.

Furthermore, there now appears to be two distinct RAINS family lines originating in Northamptonshire that have no genetic connection what so ever. One of these two RAINS lines has its deep ancestry in the Mediterranean area.
