I need to find a group of males who have got princely surnames, and they suspect their descent either from Rurik or from Gedimin (it's probable that the Gediminovichs were, in fact, a branch in the Rurikid dynasty). By Y-DNA testing it will be possible to discover whether all, or some of them, shared (or not) a common male ancestor. If so, I can discover the haplotype(s)in the Rurikid dynasty. Also, by counting back generations (and mutations), most probably it will be possible to find individual haplotype for Rurik himself.
