About us
As the third most common surname in Germany, and being one that represents an occupation, the Schneider surname (and its variants) is highly diverse. The majority of Schneider men who have taken the Y-DNA test do not have meaningful matches with of Schneider, but as time as passed, the odds of having a good match have increased greatly over the years. We've started to see family lines form, which is ultimately the goal of a Y-DNA project.
While the project is focused on Y-DNA results, we welcome folks who have autosomal DNA results as well. The Advanced Matches feature in the Autosomal DNA section of your dashboard can be used to check for matches within the project.
