This is a Y-DNA surname project in which we try to help members find their specific Tate/Tait/Teat/etc. lineage to assist their genetic genealogy research and learn more about their specific family's origin. Anyone with a Y-DNA genetic line tracing to a male having a surname of TATE, TAIT, TAITE, TEAT, TEATE, TETE, TEET, TEETE, TAYTE, TATT or any other reasonable spelling variation is invited to join this project. Administrators encourage all potential members to get at least a 37-marker Y-DNA test to allow better matching with other members.
