About us
Established in 2001, the Fisher DNA Project, is a non-commercial enterprise committed to determining the genealogical reconstitution of all Fisher families that originated in the British Isles, including their descendants who dispersed across the globe particularly to the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
Group Administrator, John Fisher, says "In launching the Fisher DNA Project we accepted that this is would be a long term project owing to the large number of families that need to be tested. However, the sooner we complete a large number to tests, the sooner we will achieve an understanding of the genetic make-up of the Fisher surname."
