1. Initially to record the 37 marker haplotype definition of all Fisher families.
2. Ultimately to increase the precision of haplotypes/ haplpgroups using Big Y 700.
3. Determine the genetic definition of aoldFisher families (i.e. families with proven lineages pre-dating 1650 AD).
4. Correlate the results with documentary pedigrees and geographical distribution techniques.
