About us

The overall goal is to help people find their distance ancestors, probably in England.

One of the project goals was to connect the Prings back to counties of Somerset and Devonshire England . There are Prings from Sussex with different YDNA from 1588, although that appears to be a NPE.

Martin Pring (1580 -1626) The English explorer, member of the Merchant Venturers of Bristol, sea captain of the Speedwell, 1603 sailed across the Atlantic ocean and spent almost two months' on shore in Massachusetts at Cape Cod , specifically at Pamet Harbor in Truro, just south of Provincetown .

To find his family lineage to Feniton, Devonshire, England from 1580. If he is from the family of John Pringe of "Thorne" in Feniton, then siblings were Robert 1562, James 1563, John 1565, Gelyan 1566, Thomas 1568, Stephen 1571, Margaret 1576, Martin(g) 1580 and maybe Grace 1581

He has a memorial in St Stephen's Church in Bristol with a shield of the Merchant Venturers of Bristol above
