RESULTS SUMMARY OF 05 NOV 2024
1) Four Kohenite super-branches of Z18271 have been identified and are being explored for integration into the Kohenite Lineages project (a project that seeks to integrate y-group lineages with genealogically confirmed rabbinical lineages). These are: S17446 (Ashkenazi), ZS2458 (Trans-Caucasus), BY64521 (Sephardi), FT157560 (Ashkenazi&Sephardi)
2) Two Levite super-branches of Z18271 have been identified: FT303739 and ZS2434, both requiring additional Levite samples for persuasion.
3) Five potential 'Lost Tribe' super-branches of Z18271 have been identified and are being monitored for supporting evidence: ZS237, FT34605, FT280381, Y146901, and Y191714.
4) Four presumed 'Lost Tribe' branches of S17446 have been identified and are being monitored for additional evidence: FT104457, FT155078, Y31793*, S12192*.
5) A currently unnamed branch of Z18290 (TMRCA to Asheknazim: 526 BCE) has been identified as a likely Babylonian Exile branch: project member is in the 'Mamalu' Tribe of Turkmen
6) Five branches containing Sephardim have been identified: FT251378, FTA60943, FTD51497, BY57528, and BY70242, that latter four being within the FT157560 super-branch.
7) One potential Sephardic sub-branch of S12192 has been identified: ZS4108, and is being monitored for additional evidence.
8) A thorough prediction study covering the complete Z18271 cohorts (including persons tested at Y37, Y67, Y111 levels) of the J1 and J1-ZS241 FTDNA projects has been completed resulting in the placement of over 150 new persons on their predicted sub-branches, alongside established members of this project. A completely new set of charts, including these predictions, is available from the Activity Feed page.
