The primary aim of the Jubbie-Genealogy Project is to collect and analyse DNA samples from any direct descendant of George Jubbie alias Strange and Lizzie Mary Thomas alias Lizzie Davies, and to then compare these DNA samples with each other to determine any recombination pattern or identifiable inheritance pattern within the amount of autosomal DNA shared between the individuals concerned.

The secondary aim of the Jubbie-Genealogy Project is to trace any unknown descendants, or other unknown ancestral relatives of George Jubbie alias Strange and Lizzie Mary Thomas alias Davies.  This might include distant uncles or aunts, or 2nd, 3rd and 4th cousins, for example, going back as far as four to seven generations ago, or 100 to 200 years ago.

The additional aim of the Jubbie-Genealogy Project is to carry out detailed chromosome mapping and phasing, by using members autosomal DNA to identify which alleles, SNPs, and segments of DNA came from George Jubbie alias Strange, and which ones came from Lizzie Thomas alias Davies.  The outcome of the analysis will eventually be to rebuild either partially or wholly the genome of George Jubbie alias Strange and the genome of Lizzie Mary Thomas alias Davies.

More generally, it is hoped that membership of this project will help to advance members own family history and members own genetic research just as much as it will help others too.  It is hoped that all members will enjoy being a part of the Jubbie Genealogy project.  As such, all comments, constructive criticisms, or any other feedback is always welcomed and indeed encouraged.  Therefore, any ideas or suggestions that could help to enhance the user experience of this project can be sent to the Project Administrator using the email address listed on the tab to the left of this page.
